On September 18, 2018 a Bitcoin Core update was issued (0.16.3 and 0.17.0rc4) which fixed two related critical vulnerabilities. As with most things around the Bitcoin community people are taking some extreme views of the severity of the issue.

A decentralized digital identity framework (“DDIF”) is an innovative solution using a decentralized database to alleviate inherent inefficiencies and cost overruns in the current due diligence business processes. The current KYC process requires each service provider to carry out redundant tests to authenticate a client’s identity, categorize their risk level, verify the source of funds and execute background checks to discover any documented nefarious activity.
